You have to love Sacramento...

There I was yesterday with my husband and grandson watching the 136 riders of The Amgen Tour of California cross the finish line at 11th and L Streets. We were watching the BEST in cycling from around the world compete in time trials on a course in downtown Sacramento! No more little "River Town." Sacramento was famous - what a coup to host the trials - and to be able to "see" each rider individually.

And to think a short light rail ride from home enabled us to be downtown in minutes without a parking worry.

Despite the weather, Sacramento looked beautiful for all our visitors. What a wonderful city. I am proud to live and work in Sacramento.
